Does Anyone Wanna Start A Band?
If so...look below...lol

About Me:

Name: Alexis
Age: 14
Ethnicity: Black
Area: Birmingham, Alabama (Center Point)
Gear: Ibanez RG Series, Kustom Tube 12A
Ability: I can sing and play guitar (Lead & Rhythm)

Sup, uh ive been playing since December 25th, 2008 and I believe im an intermediate guitarist. I play mostly rock but I am able to play other stuff as well. Some of my favorite bands are Paramore, Flyleaf, Evanescence, All Time Low, Tokio Hotel, Fall Out Boy, Korn, Panic At The Disco, etc. I think you get the point...anyways im in love with music all together. Im not a stuck up, mean, bossy, or conceited type of person...actually I am very random, quiet, silly, real, and nice...but I am black...just in case thats a problem I thought id add that in...but although im black all my friends say I act white...not sure what that means...because im just myself...but if you would like to know anything else just contact me (saying: Re: Wanna Start A Band) on the sites below and ill get back to you like...super fast lol...

It would be better to hear you sing as well as play. It would also be helpful if you weren't playing with the original in the background since you won't have that available when auditioning for a band, and especially won't have it when you're on stage. The thing is, you really need to be ready to perform when you put yourself out there.

You're not Intermediate. 10 months of playing guitar is still considered beginner, dude.

0-3 years I consider beginner. 3-7 years intermediate. 7-10 years expert. 10+ Pro.

Of course it all depends on how much you practice, so I'm generalizing a bit... but after watching your video's, it confirmed that you're a beginner. the songs you picked are pretty basic. The one thing you got going for you is timing, and you're able to stick with the rhythm.

An Intermediate player will be able to add in his own little nuances to the music. He'll be able to write his own material. He should be able to tune his guitar by ear. He should be able to play basic lead guitar, with a decent knowledge of theory.

An Expert will know his theory, and be able to tell you why he chose the key he's playing in. He'll be able to apply the theory as well, cuz I've heard some dudes who knew their theory, but were horrible guitar players.

A Pro will put you and me to shame.

Post on your local craigslist.

Anyways, don't let my harsh criticism deter you from joining a band.
