Whats so good about Facebook and Twitter?

ok im 17, all my friends and even my mum has facebook. I am seriously struggling to understand the fascination with it! Could u please spare some time and answer these questions:

1) Facebook, Myspace or Twitter (which one do u think is the best?)
2) Any difference between Facebook and Twitter?
3) What is so good about Facebook, what features does it have (same with Twitter too)?

Facebook and Twitter have similar functions,but Twitter is a shorter, simpler application. It was great for getting news directly from Iran last week.

face book is ok if you want to chat to your friends and twitter is getting better i follow katie price but to be honest its just passes a hour away

2. Yes, Applications, friend lists, photos, tagging, videos, much larger user base
3. Twitter only has status updates and followers(friends) that's about it
