Why does only half the Internet work?

When I run Internet Explorer, some sites work, but many others don't. The working sites include Google, Facebook, and Twitter, but other sites like Bing, TVtropes, and various news sites will not load at all and just freeze. I can usually exit Explorer just fine, but sometimes I must switch users.

Now, I found that removing Adobe Flash Player from my Add/Remove program list fixed the problem; so this isn't really a question so much as a help for others having the same difficulty. However, any other suggestions for why a computer might have this problem would be appreciated.

Maybe the problem is IE! You'd be better off using firefox!

You're better off using Safari or Firefox or even Google Chrome. I stopped using Internet Explorer years ago.
