Does Jailbreaking my iPhone 3G mean that I can download apps that usually now require iOS 4.3?Such as twitter?

I just got an iPhone 3G from my aunt for free, since she upgraded to a iPhone 4s. It's on T-mobile's 4G network. To sum things up, I have a ton of problems right now with it.

So my main question is if I am to jailbreak my phone, will that allow me to finally download apps like the new instagram that requires iOS 4.3?

If I can't download the new instagram or apps that're requiring iOS 4.3, where can I go for instagram, twitter, and such besides just using safari?

Is there also anyway to get customized ringtones on an iPhone 3G?

and BIG QUESTION......what do you guys think I should do with my phone being that it's on a 4G network even though it can only hold a 3G signal? I'm forced onto the Edge network, and it's pretty darn slow. The virgin mobile android phone I just transferred my number from had a faster internet (when I had an actual signal).

I just hope I didn't make a bad decision by transferring everything from my bummy android virgin mobile phone to an iPhone 3G now, not knowing that the 3G software got discontinued

I think I phone 3G isn't that vs once you download the latest update... All u need to do is go on iTunes.com on your laptop and then download it. Plug ur iPhone in and then follow the onscreen instructions and download the newest version... This will help everything...

No jailbreaking you iphone only lets you download apps that apple dont want on there store becuase it violates the terms and conditions ect...
I jailbroken my iphone think that it was going to let me get wattpad twitter instagram ect.. and was dissapointed when you couldnt get then however you can get Twitter and Facebook....
