Do you find the internet overwhelming these days?
Compared with say 10 years ago, it seems there are so many more things to keep up with facebook, twitter, tumblr, wordpress etc. websites. It used to be just email and a few websites.

I've rode the entire evolution out and i must say, it has been a real ride.

But i don't find it overwhelming, i actually enjoy it more than ever before because of all the different things to do.

I have a facebook, but theres no one telling me I HAVE to keep up with it, i explore it at my leisure and when i feel like it.

So no, not really.

Not at all. Use what you like, ignore the rest.

Many people live quite happily without ever touching a computer at all.

Twitter is a complete waste of time, like phone gossip in high school.

What I see of it has thinned quite a bit. There used to be a clutter of dumb inane stuff like "wwwierd.com" and a lot of those don't exist any more. I used to go to http://www.fool.com every day, but now they want money and that site never did anything for me that was worth paying for.

No, it's not overwhelming, and I am grateful it is not fully commercialized either.

Not at all. The social networks are all a *choice.* They are not *priority* (except for the fact that folks have forgotten this small fact.) Social networks can wait. Mine do - and folks are still there when I surface again.
