Why is Censorship alive and well at your local library?

At the county library where I live I cannot access myspace, facebook, twitter, youtube, netflix, even parts of Yahoo, because these are deemed social networking websites. Is this fascism?? Whats wrong with social networking, Isn't this another form of oppression?

It can be or it can be the library making the decision based on bandwidth issues, finances, and the reality that a library is a place to learn, not pick up girls.

So, to find out if it's fascism, ask yourself If your library computers are really fast, is it well maintained with plenty of staff and lots of new books coming in all of the time, and do they have singles mixers, like dances and pizza nights, and moreover, have they tossed the encyclopedias and the Oxford English Dictionary? If those things happen at your library, then your library is "up with the times" and their not letting you go to myspace, facebook, and twitter has nothing to do with the reality of the situation, it is fascist censorship. You are being oppressed and you need to picket the library and demand your right to use public money to socialize in the manner you choose at the time and in the manner you wish.

Don't mention to them the http://www.imdb.com also downloads videos like youtube and netflix or those fascists will bar your use of that, too.

Well, Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter are risky because they are top "vectors" for infection. Presumably a library computer is to do research; I assume that they want people to get what they need and leave rather than hanging out all day playing Farm Town.
