Can the Police track a deactivated twittter?
Someone just said stuff about everyone in our school and the staff on a fake twitter account. But now the account is deactivated. Can they still track them?

No the police cannot track a deactivated Twitter account nor would they. not be rude but they would probably laugh at you for wasting their time

Twitter would still have logs. The police would likely need some kind of warrant to get access. Unless the person was making violent threats or something comparable, the police would probably say to just report it to Twitter to get it deactivated if it happens again. Right now just saying "stuff" on a fake Twitter account now deactivated isn't something the police would normally have time for.

Yes they can if they really wanted to. Twitter has a huge database with all the logs and what not.

But these things happen every single day so they're probably not going to go through that much trouble just because some random kid said "stuff" about your school.

Everything posted on the internet will permanently be there. There is no way to erase something from the internet. If you were to give me the username I could find it and look at all your 'tweets' in 5 minutes. Even though something is deleted it is still cached.

However, most are not knowledgeable enough with computers to do this.
