Please tell me the basics of twitter?
I know its probably a lot to ask. But I just don't want to click something wrong on accident. How to tweet?, and what does retweet mean? What does it mean if I fav a tweet? How fo I reply to a friends tweet? If I follow someone do I automaticly see their tweets? When I write back to a tweet they post how do I know if they reply to me

To tweet, depending if you're using a browser or a third party application (I assume you're using a browser), go to twitter.com (after you've made an account). On the left side, there's a box that says, "Compose new tweet...". You can update your status there. Along with publishing a tweet, you can upload a picture and share your location if you wish. If you're on another page (say a friend's Twitter account or something), you can easily click the button on the right hand corner for easy access (it looks like a feather printing on a piece of parchment).

Retweeting basically means, "I agree with this," essentially. You retweet things that you might find humorous and would like to share, something you have the same opinion with, and the like.

Favoriting a tweet is when a tweet is so good, you don't want to forget it, so you save it to read again later.

To reply to a tweet, hover over the specific tweet you want to respond to and click "reply". The same manner would apply if you wanted to retweet, favorite and "share" a tweet (something recently added - sharing means to email the tweet to somebody else whom doesn't have a Twitter).

Yes, by following somebody, all their tweets is displayed in your feed excluding @replies to people who you're not following. For example, say somebody you're following @replies @bob, you would not see it unless you were following @bob too.

To see when somebody replies to you, you'd click "connect" at the top.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Smile I'm a Twitter veteran.
