My twitter account isn't upgrading to the new one?

I use twitter a lot and just recently I was helping my friend sign up for a twitter account. But how come whenever she logs in it displays a new and different twitter. whenever I log into my account it still displays the old one, do I have to wait until I becomes compulsory to have the new twitter or something...

You need not to worry about it.Soon twitter will upgrade all the accounts to new look.But if you want it before try to deactivate then reactivate and then in the top right corner click on the drop down box and click on 'Switch to new look'
