Can someone help with Twitter please?

My mom's using Twitter, and a couple of the people she follows are celebrities. These celebrities are able to get those Tweet things from other users, but whenever she tries to send one to a specific person like that, it doesn't work. How would she go about sending a Tweet to one of them? Thanks.

To send a message to someone use the @ symbol before the user name. For example: @BillGates Welcome to Twitter! That person will see your tweet in their "Tweets mentioning" inbox. You can also send a direct message to someone but you have to be following them and they have to be following you back. Hope this is the answer you were looking for!
