I love art and would love to become an Art director for a company. I hate Accounting, so finance is not the minor for me but I want to stand out amongst the others. I am studying abroad in Italy this summer and plan to get one or two internships before graduation. What else can I do to boost my chances of landing the job. I already know I will not immediately get my dream job. Also I love entertaining and making others happy so any other job suggestions with these topics?

I would say that this is a good decision. A lot of businesses, especially start ups, need art and design directors. I would say the way to go for you is to do a lot of internships both domestically and abroad. Perhaps you should look into doing several Advertising Internships as well as they always need very creative people. Perhaps over your winter break or over next summer, you can think of doing a 2 month internship abroad in Advertising. With business and design as your background, you can also look into a career in Event Management and Planning. Check out Leave UR Mark for some cool opportunities to do work abroad that will be great for your resume!
