I think it was a personal decision due to the fallout of his move from Arsenal.
I wouldn't be surprised if he resumes tweeting before the season is over.

Scotty beat me to it. It was probably a personal choice - he would of got a lot of sh*t from Arsenal fans. They felt betrayed.

I say this because other United players are still using their accounts, whilst they have new contracts.
