LGBT: Why doesn't Twitter crack down on the fake Celebrity Twitters or Fan-twitters?

I'm not talking about the Celebrity fan club Twitters, those are fine I mean the ones that act like they are the actual celebrity/person. I know some times, Twitter doesn't make certain people Official but it's kinda annoying. *Mean while people will bring up the homeless, how Twitter sucks and spread their Holier then thou feel gooder remarks*

I don't ride the Twit-express but I see the news stories about it and I get the definite feeling that Twitter staff just don't have their users' best interests at heart.

Twitter's very design facilitates unwarranted self-importance, just like Forumspring and Tumblr. The notion that you're important enough to post statuses informing the world about your daily activities is simply arrogance. Not surprised that most Twit-ers end up with delusions of grandeur.

Speaking of recent drama... *cough*Crackedwriterwhoseegofarsurpasseshistalentandfame*cough*. Talk about a Twit living in La La Land.

You mean like how people on Yahoo Answers pretend to be Obama or something? They always make me laugh. I'll bet it's pretty damn funny watching some guy troll confused Twits while impersonating a celebrity.

At any rate, I don't see the problem there. Most celebrities provide their official Twitter account on their websites or Facebook pages, so if you're not sure who is the real Rihanna or something, just check any of those things and save the link for future reference.
