What can I do on a Google Nexus 7 that I can't on an iPad?
I have an iPad 3 already but I was doing some work on college earlier and on the homepage it said that if we get 100% attendance between now and two weeks time, then we will get entered into a draw to win one of a few Nexus 7s, Shopping vouchers etc.

I have looked at the Nexus 7 before, and wondered what I could do differently on one to what I can do on my iPad?

Well the Nexus runs on pure stock/vanilla Android.

main pro's are that you can use Android apps and use your device the way you intend to, rather than the way Apple intends to.

But, TBH, there isn't much you can do on one, than on the other.

i would say the main difference is the file system.
i read somewhere about a guy that had a word doc. attached to an email.
on his ipad , he couldn't take it off and save it and edit it and send it out.
on android, he was able to do that.

but the main advantage of android is the open-ness.
dont like your browser, download another one, and set it as the default one (not possible on iOS)
you dont have to use iTunes for anything on android. its just a simple drag and drop of a file, song, video ect.
Widgets, see your facebook, twitter feed right from the home screen.
see the weather forcast from the home screen
you can even set widgets on the lock screen, so you can read emails without even unlocking your device.
dont like your keyboard, camera, contacts app, swap them out for other ones. its all about choices with android...something you dont get with an iOS device.

but for the typical every day consumer, there isn't much you CAN do on a nexus 7, that you CAN'T do on an iPad. and vice versa.
