What does it mean when a guy says this?

i think what he is trying to say is... okay you know when you smell something from your child hood like "grandmas apple pie". or you heard a song that stuck in your head for a week when you were a child. Well it brings back a memory from who's know... maybe you do something either the way you smell, talk, or even do an action that you do, on an everyday basis that reminds him of something or even some one...i dont know im not a doctor .... hope it helps
