when you tweet something, how do you know when or if someone replys back to it?

when you tweet something, how do you know when or if someone replys back to it?
im new to Twitter and im just soo confused! if i tweet something, and someone reply's how would i know? oh and if i tag a name in my tweet, will the person see it? or? please and thank you!

Every time I go to Twitter, I automatically check my mentions. If you do that, you won't miss any.
Click on Home at the top of the page. When you get there, look at the right-hand column. There should be a link you can click on that says @ and then your name.

For example, my name is Tobi_Is_Fab. To see where people have mentioned me or replied to me, I click on @Tobi_Is_Fab.

If you want to mention someone in a tweet or talk to them, you can direct message them or put @TheirName and then tweet it.
