Galaxy S3 contact sync?

So on my old HTC Inspire the phone automatically linked my summer card contacts with Facebook or Google, and the GS3 can't seem to do this. When I edit the contact manually, the Facebook contacts hae no way to add a phone number to them, or link to a phone number. Help please?

Syncs contacts from Facebook/twitter/etc cannot be edited... instead, you will have to create a new contact with the same name as your friend and just enter a phone number for them.... EX: Facebook contact John Smith (cant put in phone number).... make Google contact John Smith with a phone number....

now go to the facebook John Smith... hit menu... hit join or merge.... choose the google John Smith you just made... and Android will merge the 2 contacts into 1. Now you have a face to put with the phone number. LOL Repeat this until youre done
