Does it cost your money to tweet or go on facebook on your phone abroad?

I'm going to Spain in a couple of days and I was just wondering if I wanted to tweet or update my status from the facebook or twitter app on my phone will it cost me money, because I'm abroad?

If you keep your data on while you are there, then you will come home to a massive bill (I know this from experience!) my advice is to turn your data off, keep it off, and esquire at the place you are staying about free WiFi connection and then you can use both apps for free.

I absolutely agree.

Find somewhere with wifi access. When I last went away, a lot of pools and bars now offer free wifi so that is your best bet. Do not be tempted to turn your normal data connection back on at all. You will get a massive bill.
