Is social security an example of a socialist policy?

There were people who believed Social Security was a socialist program when FDR proposed it. It's been around so long now that most people take it for granted. It too is in trouble because there are less people paying in than when the program started. It was something like 14 persons working for each retiree. Now it is more
like 3 persons working for each retiree. I'm not sure I'm on the money with the stats but you get the idea. Ads |

nope, social security is insurance, when first instituted it was to be wisley invested but it is the golden pool to draw money from, Clinton literally wiped it out and then Newt got it almost back . I get social security but sure wish I had the option to put about 10% of that into other responsible investments
My business I will have to shut down if Obama wins and that will be 2 more families out of work and we have discussed it thourally. We have rental hopuse that we will have to shut down because the tax under Obama would not make it worthwhile because the bills including the tax will exceed the rent income--20 more homeless people Vote Obam-spread the homelessness |
