How much would YOU pay to have someone change their last name to the name of your business for a year?
Hello, I am 18 years old and I attend West Virginia State University. I am majoring in two subjects; fianance and economics. I plan to open my own business in the next two to three years. Because I pay for school, I have little money to strt my own business. My idea was that I somehow auction off my last name to a company that is looking for advertising for a year. They would pay me (x) amount, assuming the number meets my reasonable buyout, and in exchange, I would legally change my last name in the state of WV, my twitter and Facebook names (I am an avid tweeter so that itself is tons of publicity) and any other instance where my last name would be seen. All of this is in hopes I can raise a decent amount of start-up money for my own business. I have two ideas - both of which would require about 30-50 thousand in start up money but I'm willing to do what I have to to get the money while remaining out of debt.

So my main question is: Business owners and (normal) people alike, would you pay someone to change their last name to the name of your business for a year, and if so, how much? I'd really love honest opinions. My ten points will go to the person giving the most honest answer, not the person who says the most money.

Thanks in advance,
Aubrey J. Martin
