Does anyone else think that the internet has ruined social lives?
Don't get me wrong, I've done my fair share of internet surfing, but I can help but notice that most of the time, at least where I live, people are on the internet 24/7. It seems like going out and socializing is almost obsolete due to sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. What do you think? I grew up in the 90s so maybe I'm just nostalgic... Lol

Yes I think so. So much of us is always online surfing the web for the wrong reasons sometimes.

I think so, but not for everybody. I'm really shy and anti social and I always wonder 'Would I be like this if I hadn't spent so much time alone with my electronics?' but I also know people who use Facebook and text constantly and they're the most talkative and party people I know! I guess it depends more on the person, but the internet has given more people a chance to have an excuse for being alone and boy do they use it!

Yes and no. Of course it is addictive and I spend hours on it, so it has gobbled up my time. However, I had a lot of looks issues. The people on YA were kind enough to tell me I looked like a crack ho, no one else was going to do it. Yes people at college would snicker at me or would glare...but I needed to know WHY. YA answerers also pointed out I have a big forehead. Now I wear better makeup and I cut bangs for myself. I am no longer the loser tard psycho that I was. Well...I'm still a little psycho...but I'm definitely more attractive now. Some people even call me "beautiful" now. So I really am a YA success story.

I think the way we live in society these days has become more complicated. Face-to-face communication used to be vital, but now we can live our lives being online all day. However the truth of the matter is, we still need to meet people, see their faces, read their expressions and hear their voices so we can fully understand their emotions.
