How can I find demographics and stats about Facebook and Twitter?

I have to write a speech about Social Network and Internet Addiction and I want to find how many people use Facebook and Twitter ect., but I can't find anything that's not a blog. Where and what site can I find the original stats.

On facebook, you can see it on the "insight" but on twitter, I'm not sure where we can find... but I thought maybe http://www.socialbro.com can help you with that...
