Conservatives, what's so wrong with Socialism?
Socialism advocates for universal social rights to attain universally accessible public services such as: education, health care, workers compensation, and other services including child care and care for the elderly and supporting collective bargaining rights for workers. What's so wrong with those ideas. It sounds exactly like what most Americans want and need. It worked in our past, I say let's bring it back. Socialism is a good thing as it ensures America's lead in the world.

note: not to be confused with fascism or communism. two separate ideas completely so please refrain from confusing it with socialism.

That's not socialism. That's social democracy. It can healthily coexist with a market economy, and in fact is vital to a good public perception and tolerance of it.

It requires you to poop money out of thin air or steal it from someone who worked really hard for it. You can't have socialism because it will financially collapse or the working class will stop working for the leeches that survive off of them.

It is horribly inefficient.

While, supposedly, trying to make everyone equally rich, it makes everyone EQUALLY POOR.

Worse -- wherever it was attempted in earnest, it not only devastated the economies, but also resulted in MASS MURDER (USSR, China, Cambodia, North Korea).

And what did the survivors get? Abject poverty AND absence of basic human rights... These individual rights, BTW, are absent in Socialist regimes by design -- in the very principle, such regimes value the Collective above the Individual...

For actual examples, compare North and South Koreas, or Eastern and Western Germanies (before unification), or Estonia (after the USSR breakdown) and Finland.

Collective bargaining? Nonsense... The unions in USSR were under complete and total control of the Party. They made absolutely no attempts to "bargain" with the rulers.

= note: not to be confused with fascism or communism

B.S. -- Socialism is nothing but "Communism Lite". FYI, USSR never had Communism -- according to the Party we were "BUILDING COMMUNISM" (while living under Socialism).

Socialism is an ideology that is not "American Democracy"

What is wrong with "communism" other than it is not "american" (Knowing what communism REALLY is, rather than what countries that are dictatorships but claim to be communist or other such nonsense).
