how do you download the right ipsw to uprgrade your ipod?
i ave a 2gen ipod touch, and i cant download apps like instagram facebook etc. i wanna use the method where you download a ipsw and you open up itunes, (shift-key then restore) and then you open up the ipsw......how do i download the corrct ipsw to upgrade my ipod so that i can get instagram apps etc......................I WILLL CHOOSE BEST ANSWER

You can't. The highest ispw is 4.2.1 which still sadly doesnt allow you to get a bunch of apps.(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc).For iPods 1st gen and 2nd gen and For iPhones 1, 2, 3G 4.2.1 is also the highest. Sorry.

But there is another option: http://www.whited00r.com/ipodtouch2g.php download the ispw from there.
