On sony vegas pro how do you add text and pictures to one slide?

And also add different animations to different pieces of text on that one slide? and add animations to the pictures.

on the slide where its got Facebook and twitter but i'm finding it really hard to do

Go to transitions to add animations to pictures. Go to media generators to add texts and animations. Do this again to make more texts. Make the background invisible. Put it on a track on top of the picture on the timeline.
