How do I date this girl that I like?

There's this girl I like. I have only seen her once in person. I'm so attracted her. Her beauty, her aura, her energy. Just beautiful. I only follow her on Twitter because I don't ever see her, and I guess she lives around my town. But I'm not trying to stalk her or anything. I want to properly go about dating her. Should I initiate conversation via internet for now until we eventually meet up? Will that make it worse? Or should I wait?...like wait until she posts something we both can relate on, instead of starting nothing to talk about. More common ground, more comfort...I suppose. Share your thoughts and suggestions please.
