Sorry, but you can't anymore. You used to be able to by linking your Twitter account (assuming your Twitter's avatar was a .GIF file) to your Yahoo account, but the YA team finally patched that a while ago. You can still link your Twitter and Yahoo accounts, but you can't use .GIF avatars anymore. The YA team actually never intended for people to be able to use moving avatars anyway, since flashing images/moving avatars can bother some folks' eyes.

Some people might still have .GIF avatars, but I have heard rumors that the YA team is going around and removing them in a "one-by-one" way.

You Cant No Longer Possible you may Still See GIFS But that Was Before Yahoo Found out about the Trick And Blocked it

People Before Were Doing it By Changing there picture on Twitter and Because there Account is connected with yahoo Answers It would update on Yahoo Answers at the Same Time Having the Picture on there

Yahoo Answers Has Blocked GIF Pictures Now So Not Possible anymore

Any Remaining GIFS Will Be Removed When the Answers Team Staff Finds it
