I asked a girl out today. She WAS one of my good friends. We were texting and I asked her if she would like to be my girlfriend (not like that, but you get the point). All of a sudden she stopped texting me, until a couple hours of later when she said no. I asked her why, and she said it was because "my follower count on twitter is smaller than the number of people I'm following".

Like what the actual fuck? I don't even want to be her friend after this. And the worst part is she clearly is not joking...

You asked a girl out of the blue who probably had no attraction for you to go out with you. In her mind that's crazy. So she sent a crazy response to show how silly your statement was. That it took her 2 hours to respond meant she was probably confused as fuck by it.

Before asking someone out there needs to be mutual attraction, she's got to be in to you. You should probably have slept together a few times first. Or if you're young made out a few dozen times first.
