If they use a premium number (a five-digit number beginning with 5), then it's not possible.

Most radio shows have an email address and Facebook or Twitter accounts so you can contact them that way.

Usually most nationally broadcast stations have a 'british' number to allow listeners up north text and phone in.

As far as texting an Irish number you have also to remember to drop the 0 on the irish number.

For example if the number is 0871234560 you would text 00353871234560
