I think I have a serious problem?
I think I may have a problem. I have a dependency on my social networking sites. Two minutes can't go by without me checking my facebook or my twitter or my meetme account. It's ridiculous. It's like I have to see what everyone is doing and it's like I don't want to miss out on anyone's status updates. It kills me to realize that this is my life. That's practically all I do. And I'm so unhappy. I become frustrated when people don't post new things for me to look at. I feel like I'm wasting my life and wish I could be more productive. I don't like to go out much because I live in paranoia. I feel like somebody is going to try to kidnap me. There isn't much to do outside anyway. What should I do? This has been going on for years now and I feel like I need to change. But I'm just really scared. I get depressed and I cry about the fact that I have no life outside of the internet.

Get yourself to a doctor and get on some medication. Tell your doctor what you posted here and they will be able to give you recommendations on finding a mental health doctor.

I had this problem as well. What worked for me is I deleted my Facebook and other social networks. Its a crucial first step because it shows that you actually want to break free. Think of it as removing something negative from your life. Because that is what it is. Real socializing is 1000 times better. I mean like ridiculously superior. Good luck Smile

Yes, it sounds like you do have a problem, there.

I suggest that you learn how to handle the situation (rather than look for a doctor to sell you drugs), and these articles can help you to do so:
