Get the one with the 4GB RAM if your budget permits.

Go for the one with 4 GB of RAM. While you could go for 2 GB, the newer versions of Windows tend to run smoother with more RAM. For the current pricing for RAM, going with the 4 GB shouldn't cost a huge amount anyway.

It depend on what Operating System you use.
For Windows Vista and 7, I recommend a minimum of at least 4 GB. With your usage, 4GB should be good enough to run your computer without problems. For my Windows Vista, with just a browser and antivirus running, the memory is already at 2.5GB. |

Get the 4GB of RAM. If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, then the 4GB of RAM will allow your laptop to run smoothly, especially when downloading a video while talking on Skype while updating your Facebook page (as a example). RAM is not that expensive now - a - days, so the 4GB will be beneficial. It will also Future-Proof you laptop more.
I will also recommend that you get a 64 - Bit version of Windows with your Laptop so it can fully use the 4GB of RAM (32 Bit is limited to using around 3.5GB of RAM Max, while 64 Bit allows more). Hope this helps P.S. If you are running Windows XP the 2GB of RAM is enough. |
