the goverment should support the people in their own country who are in need of it they should not be giving money to an eauropean union which does not work and they should not be giving money to other countries round the world when our health service , the fire service , r,n,l, police, social services the army the navy the airforce should be getting their support and where needed where there is natural disasters in their own country they should be getting the support they need also they should be helping the people in the united kingdom

We all know it but nothing will change. Vote UKIP and get us out of the EU for starters. Norway manages quite nicely and we can follow suit. Never mind ring fencing overseas aid as well. Sod them, they are NOT our problem.

Exco>> The Labour party had to start with no experience so why the exception for UKIP. I say give then a chance at least.

When Scotland gets Independence it won't be Scotland's problem either. I totally agree with you SW11 and Norway is a prime example on how to make their country rich

This question, and its answers, are a mark of how true the phrase "individuals are smart, but the public is stupid" is.

UKIP is only gaining popularity due to Nick Clegg's spineless actions as "vice PM", his blatant betrayal of his own election manifestos, and how instead of a supposed "Coalition" government, the whole country is basically Conservative.

UKIP has done NOTHING to merit the popularity it's gaining - have you seen UKIP sorting out the economy? Rebalance social order? Tackle unemployment? No! Despite how irksome the pompous Tories are, they have the real power, and they have been doing the governing. UKIP only received popularity only as a last-resort alternative to the mainstream parties, have they EVER, made ANY change to British politics? No!

Surely the common man can see this, instead of blindly following the bandwagon without ANY proper knowledge of bureaucratic proceedings, economic balance and political consequences?

Cameron was elected because the Tories were the alternative to Gordon Brown, look at how that turned out - and now you want to repeat the same mistake by electing UKIP as an alternative to mainstream politics? A party so distanced from power, and so ill-equipped to receive real responsibilities, the whole country might collapse when they take over?

Finally, FYI, Britian is already getting horrendous press in the EU as a selfish, idiotic little twerp, with Cameron leading a gang of egoist "island people". May I remind the "jury" that while Britian has deep ties with America, the UK's economy is much closer to the EU? Being the ignorant kid that doesn't want to play nice with others will only have further repercussions from the EU in the future.

Powerhouses like Germany and France are wasting no time to fund and help the EU, and they have a much better economy to protect than the UK, how does that make the Brits look? A bunch of wanna-be cave-living capitalist Americans?
