I got a message on twitter saying people are writing bad things about me on there blog is this fake?

Hi i got a message from a mate i hardly talk to saying someones writing stuff about me on there blog and it had a link i never clicked it incase it was fake. Is this a general spam thing or is it a real message

It's fake. He probably signed up with some Twitter function and he's spamming everyone. Don't click on it.

Its a scam. When they post the link DONT click it. I clicked it once and my twitter account with 15k+ got hacked and i havent gotton it back yet. Your friend isnt the one who has sent that it is a virus at has gotton itnto your friends account

It's a common scam - definitely don't click on it. It's likely that he clicked on a similar message in the past, certainly something has hacked his account in some way to be able to send tweets through his account,
