How do I get people to stop following me on twitter?

I just created a twitter last night and haven't really used it. I am following some science things. Anyway, these two porn stars are following me, and I don't want them to be. How do I remove them? They are just spammers most likely.

next to where it says they are following you there should be an arrow click that and then click on block and they then should be removed maybe not straight away but should within a few minutes

You also have the option of blocking your Tweets. This way when people click to follow you, they have to be approved, similar to Facebook. If you decline the request, they will not receive notice that it was turned down. And they will not be able to follow you without your approval. You can change this under your settings.
