Some "stranger" is texting me?

Um, I know this is a dumb question, but some stranger is texting me. I'm not sure if I know this person because they refuse to give me their name. I know where they are from because I used to live in their area, but then I moved away. I do not have a Facebook, Twitter, Myspace or whatever since my parents don't let me. Once, my parents put my cell phone number up when we were looking for people to rent our house, but that's it. The person knew my whole name too, and I don't have a very easily spelled last name. They also know where I live! I have no idea how they knew everything, and they were really cryptic. I'm sort of scared but I'm curious too. It could be an old friend but I would know their number.... what do I do?

Dont text back, Ignore the person. If they continue to text then tell your parents.
An old friend would tell you its them unless its someone who has a hidden agenda or something to hide. Just be careful it could be a creep or a stalker or someone playing a joke on you. But if i was in your position i would tell your network to trace the number or tell the police.
