Is metafilter better than this website (Y!A)?

Asking for opinions... Y!A is free, Metafilter is not but that's what makes it so quality, it cuts down on trolls. Questions asked on here can possibly get 0 answers, or the worst thing you would have to wait an hour or more for an answer. Metafilter, you are bound to get at least 1 comment... The only problem with Metafilter is it's difficult to act weird on there, you have to be yourself because it's an online community of people who get to know each others username, unlike Y!A which has countless users, and tens of thousands of new users daily.... But in a way, that is an advantage because people are more likely to be nice rather than a random troll coming and ruining your day by insulting you. A little reason reason why I (personaly) am liking MeFi more is because it was started in the 90's! That for some reason makes the experience feel better, the website was made back when people on the internet were different, there were no "trolls" and no twitter, facebook etc etc... It gives me a safe nostalgic feeling, it makes me feel at home while Y!A is just another cold forum for me to say whatever I want.

I in no way represent MeFi, I just started using it and so far after being there for 15 seconds I have reasons why it could be even better than this website. I've been using this website since 2008 (not this account since I've been banned a few times) and it's been really useful to me for the most part, but i'd say 50% of my time spent on here was unproductive, and the other half I actually learned nice things and got quality answers.
PS to add to the reasons why MeFi is a good alternative in my opinion, they have an "ask mefi" section where 1 question could get 20-30 comments while here they usually get 10 or less answers. What is your preference? Especially Top Contributors, what about Y!A makes you enjoy the experience?
