So Ive been using twitter for a while now, but I honestly have no clue what i'm doing! Please help explain things about twitter. like how to tag people and different things like that. just pretty much give me the how to for twitter. I feel stupid and didnt want to have to ask my friends so I said, what the hell! I'll ask yahoo! haha

to tag people use @ symbol and their twitter username.
username and name are different. Username starts with @ symbol.
If you tag a username anywhere but at the start of the tweet, everybody following you will see that message.If you start a tweet with @username, it’s a reply.

The other things you must know about twitter are
You can only send a direct message to somebody if they are following you.
The maximum number of characters in a tweet is 140.

The # symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topics in a Tweet. It was created organically by Twitter users as a way to categorize messages.

People use the hashtag symbol # before a relevant keyword or phrase (no spaces) in their Tweet to categorize those Tweets and help them show more easily in Twitter Search.
Clicking on a hashtagged word in any message shows you all other Tweets marked with that keyword.
Example: In the Tweet below, @eddie included the hashtag #FF. Users created this as shorthand for "Follow Friday," a weekly tradition where users recommend people that others should follow on Twitter. You'll see this on Fridays.
