Why is my generation so stupid?
I'm 14 year old girl and a freshman in high school and usually get 85-100% on tests and quizzes. I actually study and do my work unlike my peers and then they complain that they're failing! More than half of them don't know the difference between there, their and they're or you're and your. Some of them don't even know the difference between temporary and permanent.
All they care about is partying, sex, drinking, drugs, smoking, facebook, texting and twitter. I like music, movies, video games, books, history, science, chemistry and geography. I also find make up interesting but I wear very little and I don't use mt face as canvas like most girls do. I think the formation of The Rocky Mountains is way more interesting than who got the most drunk at a party. I've never been to a party, I never been invited( which is fine by me) but have been to a few school dances and everyone is drinking, grinding and making out, it's disgusting! . The girls are stupid sluts and all the guys care about is sex. 14 year olds shouldn't even be doing these things.
I have this one friend who was "dating" this guy but she broke up with him because she found out he drank(props to her!). Now I hear people talking about her and calling her a goody-two shoes and lots of people call her childish! She's actually making good decisions unlike them.
I have friends but they're the only people I can tolerate at my school. I hate everyone else at my school!
@ David I know people use yolo as an excuse to be stupid.I also hate when they do something normal and then say yolo. Like I'm gonna go to the bathroom! Yolo!

If only there were more of you out there, I feel exactly the same way. Our generation is going down the sh*tter, we are f*cked... I blame the mass media and all of these dumbass rappers saying stuff like "yolo" and other stuff like that. We can only hope that natural selection takes its course and omits them from existence.

Well I'm 16 and see what you mean? There was a girl who used to go to my school (she would have been a junior) and she's pregnant with her THIRD child, that crap is atrocious. I have a popular girl in my class complaining how there's no cute boys to go to formals with, she's a girl that has so much make up on she's like a barbie, and is an idiot. The only reason she does alright in my history class is because the class is a joke. I'm kind of disappointed in my self that I had a "C" in that class, but I find it very hard to take it seriously, the teacher is a joke, and the class is full of idiots. Plenty of kids party and do drugs here too. Me and my close friends have done our fair share of stupid things, but we're all intelligent and fairly responsible. I give you props for the study part though, even though I typically do very well on tests I don't study, I already know that trait will be my academic downfall. I'll tell you though every guy you'll meet more than likely thinks about sex related things a lot, but smart ones don't show it, you know puberty, testosterone and what not. I myself am interested in tv, games, music, poetry, military related things, social science, science, and other things. People see me as weird since I'm really different from a lot of other blacks, especially in this country. I like the same music and other music, but I don't sag and run around smoking blunts yelling yolo, even though I do joke around. Don't worry about others if they talk about you, in your case they're making fun of you because you'll be successful. Me I'm dual-enrolled with my high school and local college, next year I'm trying to be in their academy for more college classes. At my local college which has a lot of other dual-enrolled or Early College Academy students, so most of us are "mature". I put emphasis on mature because at least in me and my friends' case, we know when it's fine to be, or not to be mature. And my final words to you are keep up the good work, don't do drugs, and don't get pregnant/STD's.
