How do you use Twitter?

Im new to twitter and still adjusting to it. but I dont get the hashtags, so lemme ask this;

Basically I want to know if the person typed "my name is..."

you should get a notifcation if someone mentions you on twitter and you will see it As Far as Twitter Goes Basically its All About Writting Status and so on So to do that on your Home Page there is a Box Type in anything you want to say and thats pretty much it it is easy to figure out and to follow people go to there twitter account and hit follow and you are following them
