What is a good hypothesis for my ethogram ?
Im trying to do an ethogram for my cat and i can not for the life of me come up with a question and have to references to back it up!

I thought about aggression in cats nothing, social behavior, PLEASE help me out here!

An ethogram is just an encyclopedia of behaviors.

Now, if you could figure out the proximal situation that illicits a particular behavior, or if you could come up with a probability tree that shows the likelihood that one behavior follows another, then you could perhaps figure out the underlying rational for the behavior. If you could show some ecological basis/efficiency for a particular behavior, then that also would lead to a greater understanding.

Without that, you might as well be describing the types of vegetables in a market. At least in a market, you have a sample size of more than one.
