How can I get more people following me on Twitter?

well you can start by tweeting at least 21 times a day. then theres replying to peoples tweets or retweeting people. Also don't post tweets that are only focused on yourself (people get sick of that and stay away from tweeters like that) And then there's following a bunch of people, they sometimes follow back. And just give it time , your followers will grow, don't worry.

Tips:

> Use hashtags. If you use hashtags people who are interested in the same stuff as you are more likely to see your tweets and therefore are more likely to follow you.
> Do Follow Friday (this ties in with the first one) and shoutouts. There are two possible outcomes you'll want from this. Either they'll thank you by following you. Or they'll also give you a shoutout to their followers.
> Be interesting. I know it's rich coming from me (I'm not the most interesting person in the world) but if you're interesting people are more likely to follow you.
> Follow as many people as possible (best to stick to people who share your interests because you don't want to follow someone who endlessly tweets about Twilight if you hate it) and hope they follow back.
> Follow the people who are following more people than are following them. They are more likely to follow back. For example me (I'm following about 300 people and only have about 110 followers).
> Promote your twitter account on other sites such as here, Youtube, Facebook, Tumblr, Flipnote Hatena, etc... On forum sites where you can have a signature on your posts have as your signature: Please follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/username And on Youtube/Daily Motion/Other Video Site videos put the same in the description. You can also end each video saying to follow you.


Note that these tips won't guarantee more followers but it'll increase the chances of getting more followers.
