Mean direct messages on twitter?

I got twitter and there are some really mean direct messages on my account. People say that they are automatic but they really bother me. Also, they gave me website adresses, saying that there was a mean blog about me, but when I click on them, it says that there is a phishing scam site detected. Does anyone know how to stop them?

it is just spam, everyone gets them, i get them. The person sending them doesnt mean to send them too, if you want to stop them unfollow the person that sent you them, so if their account sends out spam it wont send to you, and alot of the time its the same person that does it twice, there's nothing to worry about, its a virus not anything personal to you
