Car accident (insurance) issue, please help?

I was in a car accident in front of a mall. It wasn't my fault, but because of the fact that I'm 16, alone, and very shaken up, while writing out the insurance information, I forgot to write down the company and her phone number. I found her on facebook and twitter, but she isn't responding to anything that I've sent her, and the mall cop who took our statement wont release her phone number unless we pay 25 dollars and wait four to six weeks for processing. I think its bullshit. But I did see her insurance card, it was the size of a business card and it had red font. I was wondering if anyone had a card like this, and knew the company. It would help me out more than anyone could know. Thank you!

I'm sorry that happened to you. Accidents suck.
A lot of police agencies will charge for a copy of the report, so unless you get your own insurance to handle it, you may be stuck paying the report fee. If you get your own insurance involved, they're going to charge you a deductible, which is a lot more than $25. And there's no guarantee you'll get it back.

The only insurance companies that come to mind who use the color red are State Farm and 21st Century. But there are thousands of insurance companies out there, and it could be any of them...

Call the police and file a report. ASAP. The "mall cop" isn't police, they are just the mall security. File a report with the police, give them all the information you have. The police will then look up the driver's information contact the other driver, write the report, etc... then you can order a copy of the actual police report, usually around $10 - but the officer might be willing to give you the preliminary data without the actual report for free since this info is generally traded at the scene. Get your parents to help you since it was their car and you are a minor. Good luck.
