20 years ago what I am would have been considered "moderate", but since the bar for conservatism has shifted so far right that Reagan would be too liberal for today's teabaggers, I'm displaced into the liberal pigeonhole.

I once considered myself fairly liberal but today's liberals have gone completely bonkers and even I can't agree with the crap they spew out now. So I guess I have gone all the way conservative. So many ignorant misinformed people are liberals I had to get away from the cloak of liberalism completely for my own peace of mind.

Moderately Conservative, though most of my friends say I am Moderate (In the middle). They're probably right however, most liberals are very idealistic, which I dislike. However, those far right wingers drive me insane too. All this are my current beliefs. They could change as time and circumstances change.
Economic/Fiscal Beliefs: Raise revenue by increasing all taxes on those making $400,000-$550,000 or more. Raise revenue by increasing taxes substantially on millionaires and billionaires. Cut spending a bit on Welfare benefits, get people working. Cut various government programs that are less significant. Cut income taxes slightly on those in 10% bracket. Increase Credit Card regulations substantially. Increase education funding and school tax, do away with February Break and most one day breaks. Cut Green Energy spending. Let's work with what we have now and worry about Green Energy when we can actually afford it. Fund infrastructure rebuilding. Social Beliefs: Apathetic on Gay Marriage, pro, why not? Anti-Weed (watch the college humor video) Pro-life at heart but, would not want to legalize it. Pro-Death Penalty Pro-Gun rights, Anti-Automatic Guns or anything that is not a pistol. I would ban all of it, but criminals and the black market aren't likely to give up their guns lol! Pro-R&D Pro-Online regulations Foreign Affairs beliefs: Only aid a country if it is good for us in the long run. Helping Syria is useless. We don't trade with them and they hate our guts anyway. Bombing Libya was useless for the same reason and anyone with a brain saw Benghazi coming. Appeasing to Egypt, now that we need to do. We need that canal they got for trading purposes man. We need that shit! Pro-UN obviously Pro Drone Strikes Pro Iranian Sanctions Pro Outsourcing regulations, if it's possible they can exist. |
