How to convince my parents to buy me a new phone?

Okay, before I say anything, I am thankful for what I have and at least I have it, but that doesn't mean I necessarily LIKE it. It's the Huawei Ascend M860 and I've owned it for 3 years now. The battery is absolutely horrible. I don't even turn it on to check the time and it drains in 3 hours. I can't download any apps besides Facebook because the model isn't even supported by most apps in the app store. (For example, Temple Run and Instagram don't show up in the market and I've tried installing them through the internet, but it says it's not compatible with my phone.) My parents are wasting 50 dollars a month for a "smartphone" plan when I can't even use it. Buuut.. My Dad will not listen to me because he says I don't need another phone since "it functions well enough to make and receive calls". I'm 15, btw.
