How come no one answers my questions?
I used to have another Yahoo! Answers account, and people would answer my questions right away (like 10 minutes later right away) and I would have about 15 - 20 answers to choose from as best answer. I swear I don't mean to sound rude or snobby or self - centered or anything right now but honestly I don't think I could word this a different way to not sound so bitchy lol. Well ya back to the point! Why do you think people aren't answering my questions anymore? Is it because I'm a b*tch because honestly I can be sometimes (damn pms!). Btw my questions if you want to search them up (and please do answer them!) are "How do I find a friend with benefits?", "How do I do this while staying safe?!?", and "I feel too lonely now!". My user is Zoe. Thank you! xoxo

I know the feeling... Maybe its because nobody cares. Im not trying to be rude and im not saying that youre wrong, because youre not. If someone doesnt think a question is interesting, they wont answer it. I hate when people dont answer my questions!!! Theyre probably just not interesting then. Dont get too pissed because of it. Its really not that big of a deal, even though its annoying. Hope I helped!! Smile

It's probably because most of your questions are chat violations, or rants. Questions/ sob stories with loads of personal information about personal relationship problems ARE BORING. I don't want or need know all the information about your personal relationship problems. YA is NOT a chat forum. Do that on Facebook or Google +.

You are seeing three effects:

1. YA is enforcing the rules more than they have the last two years, so serial violators are becoming few. They did answer many questions because they were available, usually chatting.

2. The novelty is wearing off. YA is three years old and like most internet sites, there is an initial group that do not stay. Internet sites come and go. There is even concern facebook and twitter are already slowing down and losing people.

3. Users are being more selective and the users that gave you all those answers in the past took their chatting to twitter.

There are several general reasons questions are not answered.

1. Dear Abby type questions
2. Obvious violations
3. Really technical questions
4. Poorly written questions (all CAPS for example)
5. Using text and twitter speak instead of English
6. Asking about very archaic things that people have little interest in
7. Not enough detail
8. Wrong category
9. Medical questions - the answer is ALWAYS "see a doctor"
10. Too time consuming
11. Too much extraneous material
