What happens on Twitter?

What do you do on Twitter, and what is the point of having an account? Is it like Facebook at all?

You talk s.hit about yourself and pretend your life is cooler than everyone else's. You share pictures depicting how much fun your life/you can be. You share 'deep' philosophical quotes in the hopes someone will Retweet you to their page. You obsess about why noone follows you but some random 9yr old Asian kid has 53million followers.

Twitter is a social media site just like facebook but has so many potentials. if you have a product to advertise, you can easily do that on twitter and you will get a lot of people interested in your products. If you are the social guy, then you need a twitter account for sure
