hi i noticed people would write a status and the put the hash and kinder like quick summarise in a way. so for example : blah blah blah. # ???? does anyone get what i mean, am i right in thinking this is what it is?

You can directly share updates from twitter to facebook
when ever you post a status on twitter , it will automatically shared in facebook through Twitter official App https://apps.facebook.com/twitter/?ref=ts

You can also use https://apps.facebook.com/selectivetwitter/ , you need to enter #fb after post in twitter to share it with facebook .
