The results don't last as long but they are safer.
Hair Rollers
Set your hair in rollers. This process works for African American women who enjoy tight curls. Apply setting solution to wet, clean hair. Then roll up individual pieces. Keep in mind the more rollers you use, the curlier your hair will be. Then, sit under a hooded dryer for 15 to 30 minutes. Your hair will be straight and curly after it is completely dry.
Blow Drying
Manipulate a blow dryer. Put a comb attachment on it. Then on freshly washed hair, apply conditioning oil. With your blow dryer on high, comb through sections of your hair until it is straight. Then, style as usual.

I do not recommend RELAXERS in a bottle done @ home or @ the salon.

But several hair-straightening solutions have been found to contain well above the allowable limit. There is no shampoo that will magically make your hair pin straight. I know Herbal Essences has a shampoo and conditioner line called Dangerously Straight; I used it a few years ago. It obviously doesn't replace straightening, but it makes it a bit less curly and easier to straighten.
Anyways, if you want straight hair, get a flat iron
