Agoraphobia is the fear of open spaces. It ranges from fear of leaving your home( being house bound), to fear of parking lots, malls, stores etc.

It's a disease invented to suit people with social anxiety. It's most often employed by people seeking to live on social security checks for the rest of their lives. The only cure is coax the animal out of it's habitat by obtaining 2 packs of cigarettes and a handful of lottery tickets. Daily.

Okay - for the people who actually have this disease- it's basically people who are afraid of going outside/to the market, in public areas. it is a real disease, but it's rare.

BUT It's a running joke though because so many people claim it to obtain social security checks, and then as soon as the check comes in you see them out shopping with a big facking smile on their face.

A morbid fear of being out of doors. It is the opposite of claustrophobia that is a fear of being inside a building. The Agora was a greek public place.
